Nature-inspired: give everyday pet items an update with floral prints and an earthy colour palette .
Portable feeding: no matter the length of the trip, owners are prioritising products that help keep their pets fed and hydrated

After a year of sheltering, travelling is top of mind and consumers are looking for convenient and exciting ways to get out of the house. Having spent more time than usual with their furry family members, pet parents are looking for easy ways to include their companions on adventures.

According to a survey from Mars Petcare, nearly two in three pet owners say they're likely to travel again in 2021 and about 60% want to bring their pets along. The desire to include pets is so strong that 85% of dog owners in the UK stated they would rather opt for domestic holidays than go abroad and leave their pooch back home.

Activities such as camping, hiking and road trips have been popular during the pandemic and will continue to be of interest to families. An increase in pet companionship and activities with them directly correlates with an increase in spending. In 2020, $103.6bn was spent on pets in the US and that number is expected to rise to $109.6bn by 2021.
